This piece is part of the collection "FIBER ALIVE" / Gray wolves are the largest wild member of the canid family. Super adaptable and pretty good at taking down large prey, they are social animals and communicate with pack members with both body language and vocalizations. Due to their effectiveness in taking care of themselves and their family, the US government enacted a federal extermination program. This nearly eradicated this crucial member of the ecosystem. Canids have a unique place in our history and deserve to be respected in their non-domesticated form just as much as our beloved pet companions.
