This piece is part of the collection "FIBER ALIVE" / A social type of antelope that could once be seen in herds of 100-200 individuals in the coastal mountainous areas of northern Africa. They preferred to be in rocky areas with a fair amount of vegetation for both food and camouflage. Entire herds were massacred for reasons ranging from territory disputes among humans to agricultural land clearing and for their meat and skins. Much like many animals, they were simply in the way of humans or could be easily exploited by humans. They were declared extinct in 1994, marking another significant loss in biodiversity. Such a shame when their faces are too goofy.
