This piece is part of the collection "FIBER ALIVE" / Mountain zebras live in small family groups in the mountains of South Africa. There are two subspecies of mountain zebra, and they no longer overlap in territory. Their populations were fragmented when hunters exterminated them for various reasons, including farm land and their striped skins. Mountain zebras have increased in numbers because of conservation efforts. Zebras are iconic, and the mountain zebra proves conservation efforts work.
