Artist Statement:
My work is rooted in the quiet, often indescribable emotions that shape our lives, exploring the interplay of light, shadow, color, and form to capture moments that feel both intimate and universal. My process is deeply observational, driven by curiosity about the way light interacts with the world- from the way sunlight filters through a window to the subtle shifts in color on a friend’s face as they laugh. I find inspiration in the small, often overlooked details of life, and these moments become meditative as I translate them into my work, striving to balance detail with expressive brushwork. Through vulnerability, honesty, and curiosity, I hope my work encourages others to embrace their own complex emotions and find light even in the darkest moments.
