"Drift captures the quiet feeling of dissociation the artist sometimes experiences—a sense of being partly here, partly somewhere else. The figure lies still, her gaze distant, as if her thoughts have already wandered beyond the frame. Her face is left partly unfinished, hinting at a slow vanishing from reality. Around her, hands hover and shift in color and clarity, echoing the blurred boundary between presence and absence. It’s a moment balanced between holding on and letting go, when the body stays but the mind drifts away."
