Artist Statement:
This piece is part of Katya's Jumbis series. They're a world-eater turned protector of nature, with a particular affinity for forests like those we have in the Pacific Northwest. This piece was inspired by solitary walks in the woods and how peaceful it would be to be tall enough to stand above the forest canopy to see forests that stretch across the horizon.
