Jesse Reno

His work explores the search for understanding through introspection, drawing from a basic wisdom rooted in personal connection, intuition, ideals, and dreams rather than institutional or technological knowledge. Through an abstract narrative process guided by feeling and instinct rather than predetermined plans, forms, symbols, emotions, and beings emerge organically, creating a visual language of personal mythology and meaning. Each work becomes part of a visual diary where abstract shapes evolve into stories of growth, self-discovery, synchronicity, and destiny—revealing a world where environment, emotion, and understanding are deeply interconnected.

About

Jesse Reno

For over 20 years, I have supported myself entirely through my work as a self-taught mixed media painter, teaching my techniques and philosophies throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, and Mexico. I approach painting as a deeply intuitive and personal process, never beginning with a fixed plan or concept. For me, painting is about discovering something unknown—a search guided by instinct, emotion, chaos, joy, and contradiction. Through this process, symbols, stories, and forms emerge naturally, creating worlds where freedom comes from choice, all things are connected, and meaning reveals itself through the act of creation.
