Blind Insect Holiday Show

We’re excited to announce the sixth annual Blind Insect Holiday Art Exhibition, “ART AS POWER.” In challenging times, art can be more than something we look at—it can be a voice, a statement, a form of connection, and a catalyst for change. It gives us space to question, reflect, express our experiences, and imagine something different. As the holiday season approaches, we invite artists to share work that explores the many ways creativity can hold, challenge, and transform power. Whether through bold statements or quiet reflections, we want to celebrate the ideas, emotions, and stories that make art such a vital part of our lives. Join us in creating a vibrant exhibition that amplifies artistic voices and celebrates the extraordinary creativity within our community.

Call for Artists:
We invite all U.S.-based artists to submit their work for consideration! The submission deadline is 5:00 PM on October 23, 2026.
Artists may submit between 3 to 5 original artworks. Please note that a maximum of 4 pieces per artist will be selected for the exhibition. Selected artworks will be showcased on a rotating basis as pieces are sold, ensuring that a minimum of two works by each artist is on display at all times (subject to availability). Artists will be notified of acceptance by November 2, 2026. Due to limited space, we encourage you to submit your work as soon as possible. If you are already part of the Blind Insect Gallery's permanent collection, please submit new artworks that have not been previously exhibited.
All mediums are welcome, but submitted works must adhere to the following guidelines: artworks should be original and no larger than 10” x 10” x 10” (including framing or mounting). The sale price for each piece must be $300 or lower, with sales proceeds split 50/50 between the artists and the gallery.

Submission Requirements for Artwork:

Include a Word document with a picture of the piece and detailing the following information for each artwork:

Ensure each entry corresponds to the artwork images submitted.
2.-Image Requirements:
* Please submit one high-quality image for each artwork (3-5 works allowed per artist).
* JPEG format is preferred, with a resolution of 300 DPI.
* Label your image files as follows: Title, Last and First Name
Example: Surviving-Smith.Kelly
* Attach your images directly to the email, or zip files for larger images. Please do not embed images in the body of the email.
3.-Final Details:
1.-Deadline: Late submissions will not be considered. Submissions must be received by 5:00 pm on October 23rd, 2026.
2.-Selection Process: We will review all submissions and select the artworks for the exhibition. The selected artists will be notified via email by November 2, 2026
3.-Exhibition and Promotion: The selected artworks will be showcased in a group exhibition at Blind Insect Gallery from December 3, 2026, to January 18, 2027. The exhibition will be promoted through various channels, including social media and online platforms.
4.-Sales: Artworks will be available for sale during the exhibition. All artworks can be taken home or shipped right away when purchased.
5.-Submission: Please note that we cannot accept physical submissions at this time. Only digital submissions via email will be considered.
