Blind Insect's gallery and shop feature over two dozen emerging artists from local Portlanders, to artists in Russia and South America. We pride ourselves on giving emerging and multicultural artists a platform to exhibit their work while also providing artworks at affordable price points to encourage art collecting at any age and stage of life. Collecting and living with original artwork and high-quality reproductions should be within everyone's grasp and we are doing our part to make that happen.

Mixed-Media Sculptures by Katt Sarro

"We are all born with an inherent playful zest for life, full of creativity and inquiry about the world. This pure and innocent idea of SELF atrophies as we age. I strive to combat this deterioration of imagination by creating art using a semi-chaotic slip casting process. For this series, I rely heavily on easily relatable anatomical forms. Piles of body parts amass, I allow my intuition to take over and ‘Frankenstein’ all the pieces together. This sense of play is crucial to the way the pieces combine. I strive to let go of any expectations and just create. Something magical ALWAYS happens."
