Enrique "Kike" Congrains is a collage artist he was born and raised in Lima, Peru where artists receive little or no support from the government. He’s the founder and curator of CollageWave movement with the intent to popularize collage in Peru, it began as a platform to share collage, but became much more after that.
In 2016 he started to give collage workshops to kids in underprivileged areas all over Peru. he went to remote areas on hills and rural schools in the jungle and saw the potential in teaching collage to kids to stimulate their creativity and improve their quality of life.
He continues to impart workshops to this day but the increasing political climate in south America makes it hard for artists like myself. He participated as a speaker in Kolaj Fest 2018 and 2019 in New Orleans.
